We created Old Portuguese Stuff back in 2010 while living in New York and working as architectural designers away from home. It represents our selected view of a beautiful and culturally rich old Portugal, which inspires us every day in our own architectural pratice.

Old Portuguese Stuff is a photo library in blog format. We post about old Portuguese buildings, interiors and details, and even food and books. It is fully searchable and organized by architectural features, places and building types, as an ever-increasing record of a huge traditional legacy.

By sharing it freely we hope it will become a great tool for architects, designers, decorators and craftsmen, as well as a source of inspiration to all Portugal lovers and visitors.

All photos are taken by us and we will be continuously updating and adding stuff, so visit often! And do let us know what you think, comments and suggestions are always welcome.

About us

We started our architectural practice in Portugal in 2011 after more than 5 years of living and working in New York. We are established in the historic center of Porto, from where we develop local and international projects.

With experience in high-end residential design, our work is focused on private residences and interiors. We follow principles of vernacular and classical architecture without compromising on contemporary standards of comfort and lifestyle. Our aim is to create houses and spaces with beauty of proportion, refinement of materials and an unyelding attention to correct traditional detailing.
