Porto Foz Gotico
One of my favourite houses in Porto: right in front of the river mouth (hence the sea haze barely perceptible in the photo), one story tall, with exterior louvered shutters and a porch with skinny cast iron columns. Then the windows have pointed arch Gothick transoms which the railing repeats, and the gate echoes upside down. It’s as if Batty Langley moved to a beach shack.

Passeio Alegre, Foz, Porto.
