WILD DOOR, LOOSE PIERS

This very simple Chapel in Arouca has little verticality left – its walls, piers and trabeation seem to dance and wobble around its most prominent feature: the green entry door, with massive diamond-shaped protruding panels. A vernacular Baroque fantasy in granite and wood.
