If you follow the popular TV show you might immagine the whole what’s-their-name family having their throats cut here after a copious meal of game and mead. Bloody scenes apart, the dining hall features a wood-tastic hammerbeam ceiling. It was based on examples in France, to where the Estado Novo Architects were sent to draw, measure and get inspired. Those were bad days, but these guys could have had it worse!
