This fabulous chapel in Tavira features naive ornament and dazzling colors flying around, within a simple and beautiful classical architectural context. But what really caught our eye were the painted and gilded walls. You can barely make out the wood boards on the photo above, decorated over with blocks of blue, red and golden flowers.

The effect is that of a space covered in opulent fabrics trimmed in gold; we personally like this version better.
