Window in Porto

OK, I know this is somewhat off of our December store theme, but this window was standing there and it’s just too great not to show. The chunky Gothic revival machine-cut stone contrasts with the frail, elegant woodwork which seems a breath away from total collapse. Before it does, here it is captured for posterity, and inspiration.

As an added bonus, “arde faxo” (“Burn, Fascist!”) is tagged onto the sill, which only makes it more surreal.
