Veva’s music room (used today mostly for lectures) was decorated with Parisian wallpapers depicting the story of Cupid and Psyche. The room size was a great fit for the whole series of panels, with the mirrored pilasters, openings and cabinets making up for the remaining space. Of course, once the paper panels went up no one really cared with providing an architrave for the room, and only a few paper borders were put up there, leaving the columns suspended in space.
Note the crudity of decoration once we get up close and the brass sliding door hardware. Finally, the ubiquitous scallops over the doors and cabinet.
