If the men’s bathroom is a bold, functionalist installation of tile and porcelain fittings, for the ladies’ the designer was clearly looking at the French style of the day. André Arbus and even Jean-Michel Frank come to mind in the painted geometric frieze, abstracted moldings and classical composition. Only a couple of stalls were available, as the remaining space was left as a boudoir with full width mirrors, red velvet and drawers!
